Re: WebDav (iis 7.5) and RSP 3.0

Hi

I have the exact same problem, although I am trying to deploy RSP 3.1

Just like Emilio I also followed all instructions as described in sap note 1697750 http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1697750

I am able to open the connection when I use my browser, so I doubt I made any error in the connection.

Kind Regards,

Chester van Ree

Hi Nagarajan, Emilio,

Thanks for helping out

By checking the log files from the studio I found another error:

Error   7/21/2014 2:53:26 AM   RSP.Agent.Common.WebDav.WebDAV2.GetFiles

System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed.

   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()

   at RSP.Agent.Common.WebDav.WebDAV2.GetFiles(String folderUrl)

Appearantly there can be 100's of reasons why you get this error

But after googling a bit I found the solution, appearantly the authorizations on my folder that I created didn't allow my WebDAV user any read or write authorizations.

After changing the authorizations of the folder and child components I was able to solve this issue

Kind Regards,

Chester van Ree

The problem still remains, I was connecting to the database server not the webdav server in the configuration screen....

Emilio what did you do to solve this issue?

Nagarajan,

Thanks for the reply.  I actually came across that same thread in my searching and I would like to add that in my testing CTRL+TAB was not the correct button sequence to invoke the Microsoft auto-dialer from within the SAP client.  I am doing this on SAP B1 9.0 PL11 with the client running on Windows 7 64-bit.  When hovering over the field that contains the phone number that I wanted to dial I actually had to press CTRL then DOUBLE-CLICK in the field.

Now I've got the method to launch the auto-dialer but still not sure how to get the dialer to talk to a phone system.  Microsoft's documentation on the auto-dialer is almost as non-existent as SAP's documentation on how to make the client work with it.  I think the dialer works with the TAPI protocol but I'm really just not familiar phone systems.

Chester, Nagarajan:

I solved the problem by reinstalling.  Only this time, I followed a different document, which I'm attaching.  A couple of comments though:

1. I thing Chester is trying to use the default Web Site, which normally points to port 80.  In my case, I created a whole new Web Site, as indicated by the note, and pointed to another port, in my case, I'm using free 9090 port.

2. I allways restart my IIS after making changes like this.

3. In the Windows Server, I installed the "Desktop experience".  I'm not sure about this, because it didn't work after doing this; but I'm not sure if it would work now if I un install it.

I hope my advices work.

Best regards,

Emilio

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your quick mail. I was able to finish the installation after removing the B1 folder for the base drive and again reinstalling it after starting all the services for SQL server.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi,

Followed the note # 1162032 mentioned above . I have deleted the RFC Destination "IGS_RFC_DEST"in sm59 and restarted the Server.

IGS Process list is working AS given below

*****************************************************

kbqadm> sapcontrol -nr 01 -function GetProcessList

22.07.2014 18:01:56
GetProcessList

******************************************************************************************************.

But the IGS Graph is not working. I want the graph part in sigs to be working. SIGS --RFC Destination ""IGS_RFC_DEST"--- is not working.

Even RSRT Tcode, IGS Test is not working and i am getting error "page cannot be displayed"

Please help on how to sigs --graph to work

gayathri.K

Batch job planning for technical standard jobs

$

Hello,

In my project, we start to define Batch job planning, and my question concerns technical standard jobs.

We will use "Dollar Universe" scheduler, and I wonder how schedule technical standard jobs.

Can we used the external scheduler to schedule all technical jobs ? (transport order, backup...)

If not, how I can defined which job need to be scheduled by SAP or by Dollar Universe ?

Thank you in advance for your advise concerning the strategie to use.

Mathieu.
